RentEase is moving from a 5% per-installment fee to a $9.99/month subscription plus 2% per weekly installment (1.5% per twice-monthly installment). The subscription plus per-installment percentage funds the same four pieces of work the flat fee covered, but the structure moves a single transparent monthly line out of every installment and into a single predictable subscription — which is easier to reason about on the renter side and easier to keep honest over the life of the plan.

The four pieces of work are the same ones listed on the pricing page: (1) absorbing the late-payment risk on the back end, because RentEase pays the landlord in full out of its own balance before the renter's installments are guaranteed to have cleared; (2) the payment processing and reconciliation work that would otherwise fall on the renter or the landlord; (3) the on-time guarantee itself — a missed installment is RentEase's loss, not the landlord's problem; and (4) the zero-new-admin promise that the landlord's deposit instructions, the date, and the amount do not change from month to month.

The four canonical numbers to remember are $9.99/month, 2% per weekly installment, 1.5% per twice-monthly installment, and the trio of no origination fee, no prepayment penalty, and no compounding interest that has been on the pricing page and the terms page since launch. The subscription covers the platform; the per-installment percentage funds the float and the guarantee on the renter's specific plan; and the trio is what keeps switching tiers mid-month from ever becoming a back-loaded debt product.

On the worked example the pricing page carries: a $2,000 monthly rent split into eight weekly installments of $250 each, with the subscription plus the 2% per installment applied, lands at $14.99 on the first charge and $5.00 on each of the seven installments that follow. A $1,350 monthly rent split into three twice-monthly installments of $450 each lands at $16.74 on the first charge and $6.75 on each of the next two. Cancel anytime; no prepayment penalties; the subscription stays flat regardless of how the plan is sized.
